Ducks, not Dicks

So, an update on the ducks. I accidentally keep typing dicks. Anyway, after having 5 eggs in the incubator, 4 have now hatched, and it's exciting every time. There is still 1 egg left to hatch, and I hope that it does. On another note, being the animal lover and fowl obsessed girl that I am, I am also taking in 2 more baby ducks, not dicks, this morning. It's a common story of "I got ducks and can't keep them" as so happens during hatching season for many. Chickens and ducks, especially chicks and ducks are a lot of unexpected work. It does not seem like work to me. I am a pro at taking care of literally anything, and I will spend hours reading and searching for all of the things I should and shouldn't do. So, once these babies arrive I will now have 6 duckling inside my home until they can go outside. I still have 4 chicks inside as well, and they will be ready to move to the coop in a couple weeks once they are fully feathered. The ducks eggs came from my neighborhood duck (not neighborhood dick, although we have some of those too) that had abandoned her nest. She is now sitting on her third nest in the flower bed, and I do hope she continues to do so, or I will surely be hatching more babies. The hope is that I can reunite her with her sweet ducklings soon; that is if she accepts them. If not, they're stuck with me. This crazy journey of fowl started, exploded, and now I am on board the chicken and duck mom van just cruising, and my sweet wife who was reluctant at first, has jumped on board with me. She continues to amaze me with her love and support of all my crazy, and I know that no matter the cost, she would do anything to see me smile, be happy, and continue to flourish in my own personal journey, and I love her the same.🥰
